SWIMMING CARNIVAL 2016 - Day 2
Competitors Only
Will be held on Wednesday 10th February 2016 at the Woolgoolga Swimming Pool (weather permitting). This day is organised for only students in Years 7 to 12 who would like to compete in the following events: 100m and 200m freestyle, butterfly, backstroke and medley events. Students in Year 7 to 12 who do not wish to compete are to attend school for a normal day of classes.
The cost of pool entry is $3.00.
The carnival will begin at 11.30am. School buses will run as normal on Wednesday, dropping students at school as per a normal school day. Additional buses have been booked to transport students to and from the pool for the cost of $1.00. Students may go directly to the pool. Please indicate on permission note how your child will be getting to and from the pool. Permission notes available from Ms Hyder in the Social Science Staffroom.
The Mid North Coast Zone Swimming Carnival is at Coffs Harbour Memorial Pool on Friday 26th February 2016. It is requested participants stay for the duration of the carnival as permission notes will be distributed to students selected to represent Woolgoolga High School at the zone carnival. Also if time permits there will be training for the WHS relay teams.
In the event of storms, an announcement concerning alternative arrangements will be made on radio stations Star FM and 2CHY FM at approximately 7.30am. Please do not phone these stations; wait and listen. If you are unsure, please send students prepared for both the swimming carnival and lessons. Appropriate mufti day dress will be acceptable.
