Our extra-curricular highlights

WHS Sports Academy

Wiigulga Winyaarr: The WHS Sports Academy is a sports program conducted by qualified, professional external coaches. It seeks to develop students' skills, knowledge, and understanding of their chosen sport, along with promoting healthy lifestyle choices.

Trips and excursions

Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore the environment, to learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects them to the world.

Creative and performing arts

Our dance, music and art programs inspire students to be creative and express themselves. They can attend eisteddfods, concerts, musicals and art shows.

Creative writing programs

Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through opportunities to create collaboratively and individually.

Year group excursions

Various year groups have excursions to exciting destinations, such as the snow, Stoney Aqua water park, or Dreamworld. These outings offer students a chance to unwind and connect with their peers and teachers.

School musicals

Every second year our school produces a musical where students can showcase their singing and acting talents as well as assist in creating stage sets and colourful costumes and learning about stage management and lighting.
